Center 6: Boomwhackers

These are instructions for this student center.

LEARN:

Watch ONE of these Boomwhacker music videos with your group:





TALK:

  1. Have each person in your group select a couple (2) boomwhackers. Work together to create a "boomwhacker jam."

  2. Decide on a name for your boomwhacker jam.

  3. Rehearse it so everyone knows (more or less) what they are doing / supposed to do.

MAKE:

Use AudioBoo to record 30 to 60 seconds of your Boomwhacker jam.

    1. Record an audio recording (using AudioBoo) with your group which shares your boomwhacker jam. Use this as your script:

      1. Hello, today is ___________, and this is _____________, a ___th grader in Mrs. ___________ class at Independence Elementary school in Yukon, Oklahoma.

      2. This is our "boomwhacker jam" named ________________.
